About Me & My Midwifery Practice

For me, birthing has never lost it wow factor. Each birth is unique and powerful and such an honour to be a part of.

I first started my journey into midwifery 25 years ago.  I worked in the hospital system while simultaneously working as an ‘apprentice’ with a home birth midwife.

In the past five years my practice has taken me to rural and remote Australia, where in a role with NSW Health I was responsible for providing midwifery services to Aboriginal women. That experience has further deepened my understanding of the spiritual aspects of birthing and imbued me with an ongoing commitment to ‘Birthing on Country’.

Since relocating to northern NSW, I re-established my home birth midwifery practice helping beautiful families bring their babies earth side.

I am grateful to have met and worked alongside many inspiring midwives, who over the years have been become both brilliant teachers and friends. Midwifery for me is about developing trust relationships with women and their families, so we can navigate this journey together. As a midwife I am committed to providing a safe, supportive birthing environment.

“The knowledge about how to give birth is born within every woman: women do not need to be taught how to give birth but rather to have more trust and faith in their own body knowledge.” – BirthWorks

I only take two clients a months, so I can provide optimum care.  I have a strong network of local private midwives who I work alongside, supporting each other as second midwives during births.

I am an endorsed midwife, meaning my services are Medicare rebate applicable. To find out more about working with me please call me to have a chat.
